Core Aeration Service in Newark, DE, Blue Bell, New Hope, PA & Surrounding Areas
We offer aeration in the spring and fall.
Soil compaction is inevitable, occurring over time from frequent foot and machine traffic, like lawn mowers. However, it inhibits your turf's ability to absorb nutrients and causes unhealthy, browning grass. But don't worry, there's a solution - aeration! At Delaware Valley Turf, we offer core aeration in the spring and fall, where we'll pass over your lawn once or twice with our aerator; this process will loosen compacted soil and improve your turf's nutrient intake! You can also go the extra mile and pair it with our overseeding service, which will fill bare and patchy areas on your lawn with new grass growth. Before long, you'll notice a drastic improvement in the health and appearance of your lawn!
We offer our aeration service to property owners in Newark, DE, Blue Bell, New Hope, and other surrounding areas in Pennsylvania.
The How & Why We Perform Core Aeration
Core aeration is highly beneficial for your turf because it consists of pulling up plugs of soil from your lawn to loosen compacted soil. This process creates tiny holes in the surface of your lawn. These holes act as passageways, allowing nutrients and resources to reach the roots of your grass; with better nutrient access comes healthier, greener grass. To perform this process, we'll pass over your lawn once or twice, if needed, with our aerator. You can trust that we'll do whatever it takes to improve your turf and get it back on track to good health.
We drag a large harrow rake behind our aerator to break up the plugs of soil we pull, which will quicken the decomposition process and eliminate the unsightly cores.
We can aerate your lawn in the spring and fall.
While aeration will improve the health of your lawn, it's a comprehensive process that can stress it out if it's not strong enough. So, even though we offer it in the spring and fall, we highly recommend the latter. The lawns in our area are at their strongest during the fall, as the weather is cooler, and will have a better chance of quickly recovering afterward; our fall aeration service runs from the last week of August until the end of October.
Pair Aeration With Our Overseeding Service to Yield the Best Results for Your Turf
Aeration is a necessary lawn care service, but you can go the extra mile and yield the best results for your turf by pairing aeration with our overseeding service! The holes we create during our aeration service provide the ideal spot for seeds to fall into - when they do, they have direct contact with the soil and have a better chance of successfully germinating and establishing. However, that's not all! They'll also be safer from the elements and critters than if they were spread on the surface, meaning more seeds will develop into healthy, new grass.
We use premium turf-type tall fescue seeds for our overseeding service, which will thrive in the cooler climate and grow into durable, resilient grass.
